Sharing the passion: French & Francophile events in Melbourne – 28 March & 10 April 2012

We like the ambiance at the Bluestone and Market Lane bars. They are elegant, comfortable and not too loud, enabling us to easily chat about all things French: travel; advice; tips; gossip, etc.

Suzanne is a good example of an enthusiastic member of our community. Having left Paris to move to Melbourne, Suzanne really needed to meet welcoming locals and to not lose her French. She said that she was excited to find a way of ‘Frenchifying’ her life in Melbourne: sharing her passion, speaking French and getting to know people with similar interests.

We were happy to meet Aurélie, who recently moved to Melbourne from Corsica, to spend one year improving her English. Aurélie was relieved to relax and take a night off from speaking English. We were delighted to learn that Aurélie came from Corsica, especially as few of us had ever been there and it was, of course, fabulous to have another native French speaker amongst us.
