French things that aren't really French

...the French tradition of 'faire les bisous' (or air-kissing on either side of the face) is alive and well. The French are not huggers or hand-shakers, they are air-kissers. I'm still always a bit shocked when I see two young macho French guys greet each other with les bisous.

Shall we 'faire le pont'?

If someone asked you "Shall we faire le pont?" how would you react? Is this a pick-up line? There must be a mistake! Well, no mistake at all... we all do this from time to time, it's just that the French have a name for it.
