My first day as a jeune fille au pair in Paris, I discovered I had a French self within! I was all ears those 3 summer months in 1974 on a university break, my school French not nearly the lifeline I had hoped. Since then, I have worked and raised a family in anglophone Calgary,  jumping on any chance to “be French.” Planning the French program for our literary festival WordFest (2006-2012) was my latest official adventure en français. My husband and I return to visit friends as often as life allows: Jamais assez!
