A lifelong Francophile, I didn’t actually get to France until 2006, when my husband and I, both retired, went to visit an internet friend who had moved there with her husband. We returned several more times and I continued to go after being widowed. I just bought a house near friends, in a village in the Aude, as a maison secondaire, and spent April getting things set up there. Looking forward to returning for a couple of months in September. I live on a seventeen-acre farm on a Wild & Scenic river so I’m torn between the two places. I’m also a painter and when I can’t be in France I like to paint French scenes and people!
