1. Paris: The lost brothels - walking tour

Paris was swarming with ‘Maisons Closes’ (brothels) before WWII. The most prestigious of them were frequented by eminent men, artists, intellectuals, as well as the European aristocracy. As shocking as this statement may seem now, brothels were unquestionably an integral part of the Fin-de-Siècle society.
