Before we start let’s look at some pronunciations:

  • la tartine (toast) – tar-TEEN

  • les viennoiseries (pastries) — vee-en-was-REE

  • du jus de fruit (juice) – jhoo de froo-WEE

  • une boisson chaude (a hot drink) – bwah-so-SHOWED
