We read French literature–some members read in French whilst others read in English Discussion is held in English & animated online discussion events are held at end of each reading period-Join us
I would love to join when you are reading The Postcard. However, I am in grad school, to become a librarian 😄, and am not sure I will be able. Will confirm after the 13th this month.
Note that we'll end this session by end of April so there's still plenty of time to read. A member who already started reading wrote : 'it is an easy reading and before you realize it you're halfway through it. Or at least I am. It is riveting at least to me. But that’s just my personal opinion.'
Good to hear - have you read with us before? here is all the info you'll need - https://bit.ly/4bNcm7X- including where conversation will be happening as you read. Where are you based, and do you read in French or English?

We also have a chat going on in the Facebook group that is mentioned in the previous posts by Judy MacMahon. Soon she will set up zoom discussions (end of February ) depending on where you live and everyone’s availability. Sandra Gulland, the author ,accepted to answer your questions I’m currently gathering, and will submit them to her before the live discussions . I also asked a question : what do you think of the choice of journal entries as a narrative strategy ? Feel free to ask anything ! Bonne lecture !
Welcome then, bienvenu ! do you intend to read our current pick ? The Many Lives and Secret Sorrows of Josephine B. by Sandra Gulland ? if so, you may choose to read its French translation too !
