Hi Mary.

Pardon the delay. I found this in my spam email today.

First of all, I’m glad you enjoyed the article.

2 nights in Aix with one day in Saint Baume. I’m assuming Saint Maximin? If so, I would say to plan on half a day. If you’d consider driving. It’s a nice drive if you take the D17. Otherwise, there may be a bus but I’m not sure. Of course, there’s always a taxi but you might find it expensive (they’re all lined up by the Rotonde fountain. You could ask).

I would stay in the city center. It’s so much easier and you’ll enjoy it more. Hotel Aquabella is nice and well situated. It’s a bit non-descript but they have a good restaurant and a beautiful pool area. There are many others but be sure to choose city center.

*Don’t forget that the market is on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings so plan your trip the Saint Maximin accordingly.

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for your insights. We are planing a 2 night stay in April. We hope to find a way to have a day trip to St Baume as well. Do you know of any nice places to stay and any day tours to St Baume? It’s just my husband and I.
