I was reminded the other day by my husband Mike not to feel guilty because I carved out time to ‘faff’ (as I like to say!) around with objects and take photos in our bedroom for myself and not work. As he said, it’s all part of the creative process. I reminded myself that I should do it more often.
Allowing ourselves time for creativity (whatever it is) is just so important (I talk about it a lot over at Two Photographers, but forget to put it into practice myself!).
So here are a few details from our bedroom, which is forever changing, much like our house, which changes all the time. One day, we might actually finish it, but then maybe we will find something else to change – our house is a constant living piece of artwork that ebbs and flows with our mood and seasons.
I was reminded once again by some visitors last week what we have managed to achieve and create for ourselves. Our house has definitely been a labour of love and with our own pair of hands.
Some of my favourite cushions from Noel Chapman, aka bleuanglais can be found on Instagram.
Should you find yourself here in Provence, our studio is open for private visits, so why not come and see us?
