It was very fun to read about La Ciotat through your eyes! I always like reading what others have to say about places I've visited, although I make a point to only read a bare minimum before I go.

I didn't spend much time at the beach, so it was interesting to get your impression. It did seem like an authentic, family-oriented place.

I also noticed the Irish bars, although one seemed to be closed down. And I loved Place Sadi Carnot too.

There is quite a story behind the shipbuilding industry in La Ciotat. After a long labor struggle, it was saved by turning the port into a specialized shipyard for huge yachts. I almost wrote a third article about that, but decided against it. It's still simmering on the back burner.
