MyFrenchLife™ started 16 years ago with a simple belief: France deserves to be really understood, not just visited.
Not France as a postcard. Not the clichés — though honestly, some clichés exist for very good reason 😉. But the France that surprises you. Moves you. The France that, once you glimpse it, you can’t stop wanting more of.
Over the years, this little passion project of mine has grown into something that still takes my breath away. More than 12,000 francophiles from all across the globe. Thirty-five talented Contributors writing from France, bringing you stories I couldn’t tell alone. le Bulletin newsletter lands in your inbox each weekend — immersive, nourishing, never rushed. A curated Library of hundreds of the finest Substacks about France. And the fabulous Collection of deep-dive articles exploring French culture from this way and that. And a BookClub that somehow manages to feel intimate across more than six time zones — we laugh a lot, as you might imagine.
What I love most is the connections. People who’ve never met, sharing stories about a village, a book, a moment in France — and suddenly feeling less alone in their francophilia. That’s what this place is, really. A community of like-minded souls searching for what lies beneath the surface of France.
