BookClub Announcement: #Mona'sEyes
An exciting renewal of our BookClub: It's time to read together again... Are you ready?
Since 'Mona's Eyes' (Les Yeux de Mona) by Thomas Schlesser was first published in France on 31 January 2024, I have been posting about it elsewhere in this BookClub group because I was certain such a special (and acclaimed) novel would eventually be translated.
Indeed, I can now confirm that Europa Editions has published its English translation just this month (available in the UK on 25 September).
It's been a year since we’ve read together in the MyFrenchLife BookClub!

This book should therefore be a great opportunity to resume our book discussions. Tell us below if you'd like to read with us! (either the French or English version)
NOTE: However, it's quite a long, intense read, and it is not easy to buy or borrow in all countries, yet. Consequently
, and I have agreed to make the announcement now, to give everyone enough time - until the end of December- to order, buy, start to read, and finish Mona's Eyes.In December, expect invitations to join us in a discussion in January 2026!
Don’t forget to let us know below if you’re considering reading with us - and help us spread the word, and please invite your Francophile friends
I loved reading 3 or 4 of the French book club books last year( in English) and would love to read Mona’s Eyes.
Yes definitely want to discuss Mons’s eyes. I’m reading in English but have visited these Parisian museums so many times so i “see” the works of art in my mind.
