Bonjour!

I’m so grateful to be a member of the MVF community for many reasons. The first is Judy who is supportive, kind, and believes in my story. I enjoy the editorial tone she’s set that’s gentle, yet discriminating. Gentle, because each author’s voice is informed and balanced. Discriminating, because posts are carefully chosen and thoughtfully crafted.

MVF is pinned top of my Facebook feed, so I begin each day with the luminous French spirit of originality, beauty, history and joy that inspires ma vie francais.

Personally, I live and work in the New York area (for now) where I’m a cross-cultural adaptation  coach: ExpatWhisperer by day, and flâneuse by choice. I’m also an author, realizing many dreams, namely writing my Eat, Pray, Love story here. I was reluctant at first, but I was encouraged by so many friends and MVF to do it because, as a good friend told me, wiping her tears aside after I shared my story she said, “You should write it because things have changed since EPL was written in 2006.” A writer needs many things, but perspective, a good editor, and the support of trusted friends like her are indispensable.

My journey isn’t easy, but I look forward to sharing it with you and a simple truth I discovered dans un ptit loft à Paris. Until then, I take Doris Lessing’s advice: “Whatever you’re meant to do, do it now. The conditions are always impossible.”
