March seems to be the month of les salons, so there is sure to be something to inspire you. We’ve picked out a few of our favourite salons, plus some other activities to get you out and about and enjoying Paris in March
Something to sink your teeth into
The 11th annual Omnivore World Tour Paris edition is taking place from 6-8 March. Curiosity, open-mindedness and generosity being the key values of the festival, Omnivore has put together a generous program this year, showcasing some of the most inspiring chefs of the moment.
A one day pass is 39 euros and the three day pass 99 euros. This is your chance to discover the future of gastronomie.

Take a walk through France’s independent viticulture scene
The Salons des vins des Vignerons Indépendants comes to Paris in March. Here you can meet independent wine makers who will each tell you about their story, wine and work. Each wine maker creates his or her wine from seed to bottle and the wines are as varied as the accents you will hear.
A glass of wine is offered upon entry and the wine makers will host you as if you were in their own home. If you feel a little out of your depth at such a large wine fair, here are our tips to help you feel like un vrai connoisseur.

It’s all in the pencil
The Salon du Dessin presented by Louis de Bayser is a unique exhibition that is internationally renowned in the world of drawing and collecting. Experts, conservators, collectors, and amateurs will come from all around the world to Paris in March, to participate in this celebration of drawing.
This year the salon will host 39 galleries specialising in ancient, contemporary, and modern drawings. There will be over 1000 drawings in the Palais Brongiant, tout pour le plasir de vos yeux.

If you still haven’t had your fill of art….
For it’s 16th edition, the Paris Art Fair combines with international galleries to pay homage to contemporary and modern art. ‘Solo show’ showcases the work of individual artists and ‘Promise’ that of young artists and emerging galleries.
With South Korea as the guest of honour this year, the art fair continues to promote and provide insight into the contemporary Asian art scene.

Dive into a retro universe
Returning for its 19th edition, Le Salon du Vintage invites you to come and discover la crème de la crème of vintage world. A veritable smorgasbord of vintage delights, you will discover clothing, accessories, and a huge array of vinyl.
The programme this year pays homage to the futuristic visions of the designers of the 60s and 70s and the couturier André Courrèges. If you’re an ongoing vintage accro see also our list of the best vintage boutiques in Paris.

One salon for all your outdoor adventure needs
Paris in March brings a space to meet all those amoureux with nature and the great outdoors. Le salon des nouvelles randonnées, is organised around four themed villages; Village ecotrail, Village Bio et au Naturel, Village Montagne, Village to Nature.
Discover all there is know about everything outdoor related, plan your next adventure or learn about bio products and mountain life. The sky is genuinely the limit in this salon.

Shake up your morning routine
‘Morning sketches’ by Ondeone who transforms his morning routine by drawing whilst drinking his coffee. Each morning, one coffee, one morning sketch. Grumpy snowmen annoyed by Monday, disillusioned superheros and hilarious bearded men. From 19 March they can be found covering the walls of the Lacroix Gallery, and you’re guaranteed to love each one.
