Paris insight – ‘Banal Berets’

“Banal Berets” – When the weekend arrives Paris overflows with
visitors who transform the sidewalks of
certain arrondissements into impenetrable
rivers of selfie poses, lip-locked lovers, stumbling
hen parties and freshly minted berets.
Bienvenue tout le monde, how can we blame you?

It’s exhilaration for some and exhaustion
for others…especially locals who must host visiting
friends, as would seem to be the scenario
of this captured moment.

Two giddy gals gaily relive their full day, flipping
through phone photos and sporting silly
souvenirs whilst an exasperated friend idly longs for the
return of the workweek and normalcy.
“Berets,” she thinks, “…really?”
