Paris insight – ‘Little Peanut’

The façade of this charming corner restaurant surely would
have caught our eye, but the shrill theatrics of a
child mid-tantrum seized our ears first.

In a universal exhibition of the power struggle
between progeny and parents, this crying
youngster planted her feet and
demanded a return to the park while mom
pretended to head home indifferently without her.
Mom eventually won.

Set against the backdrop of a beautiful
bistro with signage, surroundings and reflections
that scream Paris we’re reminded
that the city’s character is coloured not
only by romantic moments,
but everyday family vignettes as well.
