Paris insight – ‘Wall of Love’
In a magic corner of Montmartre – ONE of the magic
corners of Montmartre – just off the Place des Abesses, lies an art
installation affixed to a wall that can transfix your heart:
“Le mur des je t’aime”. A simple concept gracefully done,
it’s a tiled mural depicting the words “I Love You”
handwritten in 250 languages.
Situated in a peaceful garden largely sheltered
from the bustle of the neighborhood,
it’s an intimate spot for a rendez vous and
reaffirmation that the City of Light is
the world’s multilingual capital of romance.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
