Martinique, France: How is this my window?

Martinique

As a voyager poet in France, my goal is to travel often where French is spoken.
This poem recognizes a new space with the astonishment of time-travel.

How is this my window,
I’d really like to know

Although my manifestation,
I rest in fascination,

That life can change so easily
Transform, and I tell you verily,

I know really nothing of outcomes
Following my heart is how I become

Better at making choices, not without risk;
Sometimes, I luck out and find my bliss,

Other times I’m wandering lost
Accepting some things while others I toss

I don’t always know why I do what I do
But I trust serendipity will pull me through

To great joys unexpected
Where I’ll be accepted

Just as I am and offer them
A presence more or less zen;

Where ups and downs are accepted
Honestly, not evaded or rejected.

So I gaze through my window
Enjoy what I can and let it flow.
