Trusting the new patisserie
Each time I go to Paris, I rent an apartment in a different neighborhood so that I may experience the new. Which is a good thing in every way except one... Each year I must accustom myself to a new patisserie.

Then I strode all the way to the Eiffel Tower. Striding helped with the cold. The Eiffel Tower loomed, silent, godlike, unconcerned with anyone unable to find a dog park in the Champ-de-Mars.
But Paris bided its time in the background. Paris waited for me to come to my senses. What did I know about the real Paris? After all I'd been a homesick 12-year-old the only time I'd seen her.
