Meet Estelle, the young French blogger and fashion-lover behind Estelle Blog Mode.

Personal

Describe yourself in three words.
Optimistic, passionate and altruistic.

What are your links with France? What does a country like France have to offer you in everyday life (something fulfilling or disappointing, for example)?
I was born in France, so it’s a country that I like a lot. Of course the French are a bit whiny and complicated, but it’s a country that recognises human rights, women and provides health care and education.

From a more trivial perspective, France is the birthplace of fashion, a form of French elegance, fine cuisine and, of course, Paris is the most beautiful city in the world!

Professional

How did you start blogging about fashion?
I started blogging about fashion more than three years ago, out of a passion for fashion, a love for clothes and everything that beautifies women in general.

Can you describe your blog, including how it differs from other fashion blogs?
I try to feature clothes that are attainable on my blog – attainable both for the wallet and from a style point of view. The silhouettes that I present have to be wearable in everyday life. I try to offer a maximum amount of shopping tips and beauty advice so that my readers can find a genuine interest in coming to my site. Above all, it’s a place for sharing between girlfriends.

How would you describe your style?
My style is always feminine, sometimes with a hint of rock, sometimes resolutely vintage. High heels are an essential part of it and I wear trends in small touches.

What inspires you?
The streets and magazines are huge sources of inspiration.

Favourites:

What is your favourite brand when it comes to French fashion?
I really like Claudie Pierlot – their style is very feminine, vintage-inspired and has fantastic prints. And naturally, I’m a total fan of the designer Isabel Marant for her clothes and ankle-boots, which I own several of.

Who is your favourite French model?
I adore Constance Jablonski, a natural Frenchwoman who has been able to make her place amongst the best in the world. I like her naturalness and simplicity.

Where is your favourite place to eat in Paris?
I like the restaurants in Batignolles in the 17th arrondissement. It’s a true village, and as soon as I’m there, I discover restaurants, each more picturesque than the last.

Where is your favourite place for drinks in Paris?
As I am in love with Batignolles, I like the little bars there and when I feel like listening to music, I find myself at Bus Palladium with my girlfriends.

Where is your favourite place to go shopping in Paris?
I like taking a stroll in the heart of Le Marais to find all my favourite shops: The Kooples, Sandro, Maje. Or even Rue Etienne Marcel – not to be missed with all its boutiques. Finally, when I feel like doing some DIY, I go to La Droguerie de Paris to stock up on supplies to customise clothes or make my own gems!

Where is your favourite place to go for a good time in Paris?
As I am passionate about art, I like to lose myself in the Louvre or photograph everything going on in the Tuileries. In any case, Paris is a permanent show!

Thank you Estelle for taking the time to talk with us here at MyFrenchLife.org. It was a pleasure getting to know a little more about you, your vision and your fashion blog.
