As we were making plans for all the extra surprises for this event, we found ourselves reflecting on the last Paris soirée. We received feedback afterwards saying that it was “fabulous”…

Reminiscing: Ma Vie Française™ soirées – meeting locals & travellers

A friendly, well-known bar in the famous Le Marais quartier provided the perfect setting for our last soirée in Paris. French natives and francophiles shared a drink at ‘Les Etages’, and swapped stories and tips about travel and life in France.

Here, we met solo traveller Naomi. Pleased to meet travellers and French natives alike, she was “happy to share her experiences with other people.”

We were fascinated to hear more about the butter business she runs in Victoria, Australia, and her latest adventures in France, which involved learning how the French make butter.

Naomi studied French prior to this trip but she was still apprehensive about her speaking ability. It was a relief then, when she discovered that there was no language barrier at the soirée. Naomi was able to meet local people and francophiles, and can now say that she has friends in Paris.

Ma Vie Française™ soiree: Thursday 26 July 2012

For our upcoming soirée in Paris, the Ma Vie Française™ team invites you to share a drink at the latest ‘bar du jour’ in the 2^nd arrondissement. Le Figaro ranked this new bar number two on its list of the best cocktail bars in Paris.

Ask for a ‘Ma Vie Française™’ cocktail, and share stories with French natives and francophiles. The diversity of attendees always surprises us!

Later in the evening between drinks and conversations, member and French chanteuse Caroline Nin will perform jazz and caberet classics from Marlene Dietrich to Edith Piaf just for guests.

There will be numerous surprises, and prizes. We’ve had fun making arrangements for these very Parisian prizes for some lucky guests. There will also be complimentary ‘Ma Vie Française™’ cocktails for the most Twitter-literate attendees.

Our Parisian hostesses, Sylvie and Marianne, look forward to chatting, swapping stories and sharing their local knowledge with you.
