Search for the ultimate French film addict: who can enter & terms and conditions

Please read the eligibility requirements and terms and conditions very carefully before entering our ‘Search for the ultimate French film addict’ competition.

Who can enter?

While we love our international readers dearly, this competition is only open to people living in Melbourne, or those who can make it here for the duration of the festival. Unfortunately we can’t cover accommodation or travel costs.

You’ll need to be free for the opening night celebrations on Wednesday 5 March 2014, and be available to see at least four other French films in Melbourne during the festival and write quality articles about your experiences.

French speaking is a benefit but not essential to enter the competition.

Don’t forget, we’ll be asking you to blog about your experiences at the festival, so if you’re not comfortable having your face and name on the web, this might not be the competition for you.

Terms and Conditions

1. One entry per person allowed.

2. To enter, simply email your ‘competition entry article’ text at win@myfrenchlife.org providing your email address and proper name.

3. Competition open to entrants aged 18 or over

4. This competition is open to entrants from Melbourne only

5. This competition is hosted by Judy MacMahon via the MyFrenchLife website, at https://www.myfrenchlife.org/.

6. The prize consists of full access to the Alliance Française French Film Festival opening night event for two people, 4 pairs of tickets for selected screening, one dinner at three French restaurants for two, car services up to the value of $200, RRP AUD$800

7. Competition opens 6:00am Monday 10 February 2014 and closes 4:59pm Thursday 20 February 2014 AEST.

8. This competition is a game of skill and the winner will be based on the most interesting ‘Competition entry article’ text as judged by the MyFrenchLife team.

9. The winner will be notified by email and via a post on MyFrenchLife website before 4:59pm Monday 24 February 2014.

10. All prizes will be claimed at the door.

11. Prizes are not redeemable for cash

12. Prizes are not transferable, the winner has to be available to attend all Film Screening (dates yet to be specified).

13. To be eligible for Uber credit, the entrant must have downloaded the Uber app and signed up within. Credit is only available to be used towards the first ride of each new customer.
