Creativity Explored: Mangus and Chu

Creativity Explored: Magnus and Chu by Michelle Mason - MyFrenchLife.org - Ron fox photography
by Michelle Mason

We could see Chu from our spot on the beach—the drop hadn’t been made yet. The sun is setting and it’s getting colder, I wish they’d hurry up.

I hate working this close to Magnus, yet I love it at the same time.

He’s both annoying and intoxicating.

Why does The Firm always partner us?

Magnus leans in for a kiss, slightly turning his head for a better look at Chu. He kis… SHOTS FIRED!

Magnus knocks me to the ground, half-covering me with his body. We lay still for what seems like forever. Only two shots. We give each other a “what the hell just happened” look, as we spit sand out and get back on our feet.

Chu is lying on the sidewalk—dead, or close to it—as a crowd gathers around. The sirens are getting close; time for us to leave.

Thank you to Ron Fox for his photography which inspired this story
Thank you to Michelle Mason for her Fast Fiction
Both are members of MyFrenchLife.org
