I specialize in customer service, was born in Waterloo and now live in Toronto, Canada. I adore all things French: the people; food; history; architecture; countryside and culture. But most of all, I adore Paris. Recently I decided to write about why I love this city so much and created my site.
When my sister decided to accompany me to Paris, I was thrilled. So excited! Lynn is the thrifty one, you see. A trip across the pond is something she takes quite seriously; however, I suppose the timing was right as it only took a minute until I heard her elated response: “Yes!”
I gobbled up this book in five hours. I have never in my life read a book in five hours—for a couple of reasons. First one being, I love making a good book last, and second, I have never had a book take a hold on me so quickly. I began reading and couldn’t put it down until I was finished.
I did warn my husband before his first trip to Paris: “Parisians can be a little aloof.” Yet the taxi drivers, concierge, waiters and shop workers all seemed to take to my husband marvelously. They were proving me wrong!
Okay, so maybe it isn’t an actual ‘book club’, considering that I am the only member. And maybe it doesn’t actually take place in Paris. But these fantastic, beautiful, page-turning books are, in some way or another, related to Paris.
