Only one hour drive from Paris the city of Amiens houses the biggest French gothique cathedral built in the XIIIth century. The cathedral was registered on UNESCO’s World Heritage sites list in 1981 and was recognized as a monument on the Road of Santiago de Compostela in 1998.

After a short tour of the cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris, we set a course for the one in Havre, in Upper Normandy. It is not only the symbol of the profound Christian faith of the village’s inhabitants, but is also one of the only buildings not to have been destroyed during World War II.
A peculiar convoy threw the French capital into commotion on the 31st of January: the arrival of nine bells, designated to replace the old ones of Notre Dame de Paris. This event, to be followed by others throughout the year, celebrates the anniversary of this marvellous building.
